SBC welcomes Pastor Mike Brill as our pastor. He has been an interim pastor for several churches: Cornerstone Community Church in Fairbury in 2011, Mamre Evangelical Free Church in Marquette in 2016, and High Prairie Community Church in Polk in 2018-2019. Pastor Mike was a chaplain and Bible teacher at Nebraska Christian Schools from 2000-2006. He still holds a Nebraska substitute certificate. His education includes a Bachelor of Science in Theology from the Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Missouri. He also attended the University of Colorado as a Sociology Graduate student. While in Washington State, he earned a certificate as a Reality Therapy counselor. Pastor Mike teaches several men’s Bible study groups. He and his wife Cindy lead several small group bible studies. He has traveled to Africa, Haiti, Israel and Mexico as a part of his ministry.

Samuel started at SBC in the fall of 2023. He attended Grace University in Omaha until its closure and then transferred to Calvary University in Kansas City to complete his undergraduate studies, which was also where he met his wife Charissa. He continued into the seminary at Calvary completing his master’s degree, while working at the school in student development.
